It is located in the the reception area of our headquarters building, 260 Judge Edward Dufresne, Luling. You may bring old prescriptions during regular business hours all year long. Benefits of utilizing this Drug Drop-Off Box: There are several benefits to disposing of unwanted medication or medications that are no longer needed: -You don't want a child to get hold of any medication that could harm them. -You don't want another family member accidentally taking the wrong medication. -You don't want to take any medication that has expired, which may cause an adverse reaction. -You don't want or have anyone else mistakenly take a medication that could cause an adverse reaction if taken with another type of medicine. -You don't want to flush them as it enters the water system. |
The Following Household Hazardous Materials will be Accepted and Properly Disposed or Recycled: Oil-based Paint, Solvents, Tires (Limit 5 per vehicle, one delivery only), Automotive Batteries, Used Oil, Antifreeze, Household Cleaning Products, Aerosol Cans, Acids/Bases, Fluorescent Tubes, Tars, Resins, Adhesives, Pesticides, Herbicides, Scrap Metal, Major Appliances and Used Electronics, such as Used Computers, Copiers, Printers, Radios, TVs and other Electronic Devices. Please DO NOT Bring the Following Items — We CANNOT Accept Them: Explosives, Ammunition, Unidentifiable Materials, Infectious Waste (medical), Compressed Gas Cylinders (including propane tanks), Asbestos, Radioactive Wastes (smoke alarms), High School Lab Wastes and Commercial/Governmental Facility Waste, even if the facility is at home. Limit 5 tires per vehicle. Please DO NOT Bring the Following Non-hazardous Items: (Support existing recycling programs instead) Latex Paint, Paper, Cardboard, Aluminum Cans, Plastic and Glass. Please, NO CONSTRUCTION DEBRIS (municipal waste). (NOTE: No longer accepting latex paint, only oil-based paints.) This event is designed for collection and disposal of residential hazardous wastes. Please do not bring wastes from commercial or governmental facilities. NOTE: In 2023, we WILL accept Used Electronics, such as Used Computers, Copiers, Printers, Radios, TVs and other Electronic Devices. We will not accept Latex Paint. Please also consider using convenient recycling options. |
